Symptoms of chest pain in women
**SOB
-indigestion, back pain, fatigue
Lavine sign
Mid sternal pain from left arm to left jaw
Stable angina
Exertions symptoms cease when exertion stops
- may have fixed vessel stenosis with demand ischemia
Unstable angina
Increasing frequency time & duration
-precursor for MI
Variant (Prinzmetals) angina
Sudden pain caused from coronary artery spasm
- get 12 lead with and without symptoms…. Will only see ECG changes with pain and symptoms
- treatment = nitroglycerin and calcium channel blockers to relieve spasm
Hallmark sign of NSTEMI
Pain with increased frequency, heaviness, or pressure
- may occur at rest and last > 20 min
What do you see diagnostically with NSTEMI
ST depression or t wave inversion on 12 lead
