P.I.G. P.L.A.N.
Addressing a crime problem, employee problem or a tactical situation.
P-PROBLEM; What is it? Underlying or potential?
I-IMPACT; What is the impact going to be (external/internal)
G-GOALS; What are the goals, relate it back to the problems
PL- PLAN; What is your plan? Implement either SARA or your 4 I’s (IDEA/IDENTIFY/INSTALL/INVESTIGATE)
A-ASSESS; How will you assess your actions? Give time frames, methods
N-NOTIFICATIONS; Who needs to be notified? External/Internally

E - External Resources, involving outside agencies (FDLE, FBI, School Board, DCF
D- Duties till the end, what will I be doing throughout the incident and until the very end.

C- Conclusion; summarize, and make yourself available afterwards

A- ACTIONS; Describe the action to initiate, decisions to make, orders/directions you will give and the requests to achieve the goals. Be specific, detailed, proactive and explain chronological.
Consider sources for information to initiate your actions. Consider the use of BOCAPS.

R- REASONS; Provide reasons for your actions. Focus on most important for detailed explanations. Reason follows appropriate action.
Consider using P.I.E. for reasons (Policy, Integrity, Effective/Safety)

D- DOCUMENT Describe the reports to be used, emails and paperwork that needs to be completed.
Delegate what you can. Mention specific report numbers/forms if relevant and who gets copies.

Consider using BOCAPS when considering who to inform.

F- FOLLOW UP; Describe your follow up actions/decisions you will take. Examples could be meetings, reports, training, monitoring, phone calls, personal contacts, etc.
Provide with detailed timeframes, due dates and guidelines for completion.
