ISP stands for….

what does the TCP do
Breaks down data into packets before data is sent is, reassemble the packets at the destination computer

what does the IP do
sets the addressing scheme which is a set of rules for routing data and addressing packets of dats
role of tcp in packet switching
tcp converts data into packets and reassembles the packets into data when they are received.
ip addresses packets to the right destination and moving packets from one computer to another
DNS
(Domain Name system) database of Ip addresses and domain names
DNS resolves numerical IP address for a URL
How does DNS system works
- Browser works with local name server to resolve ip address
(puts in www.example.com - Browser sends a request to that IP address
- Server finds the correct document or file
- Server sends document to the browser
- Browser displays document

(Top level domain) last part of domain
Ex: .com, .edu, .mil, .net
