When is child is corrected/told off for saying something incorrectly or behaving badly which leads them to not continuing the mistake

children will often copy words they’ve heard a parent say and tend to acquire pragmatic features from their parents and accent features

when asked what the plural of a “wug” is , despite it not being a real word, the bound morphene “s” was added on to make it plural, this is against copying as the child would have learnt that skill themselves as they’ve never heard the word “wug” before
