A

mEq = ((Amount in mg) x (# of valency)) divided by MW (but covert g/mol to mg/mmoL because you need same units)

A

mEq = (amount x valency) / MW expressed as mg/mmoL

mEq = (116.88 x 2) / 58.44 mg/mL (easy conversion, number stays the same g –> mg, and mole to mmol…..so # same)

mEq = 4 mEq of NaCl
