Acid And Bases Flashcards
How do you make a base through Alkali
Metal hydroxide Metal Oxide Iron Oxide Copper Oxide Base dissolved in water Alkali is formed
Ph-1
Strong acid
What’s neutral?
Ph7
What’s strong
14
Alkali is a
Negative
Acid is a
Positive
What is a soluble salt
Reacting an Acid and a metal
What’s the soluble salt formula
Acid+Metal-> salt + hydrogen
What’s an insoluble base
Insoluble base is where it’s not reactive to water but is an alkali
What’s the formulae for neutralisation
Acid+alkali-> salt+water
How do you make copper sulphate
When copper and sulphur react
How do you make an insoluble base through copper Oxide?
Copper and sulphate react to make copper sulphate
Keep adding copper Oxide and mix it with heat
Filter the solution through filter paper
Add copper sulphate to evaporating dish place on top of the beaker
After experiment you’ll see crystals
How do you neutralise a solution? (Turn green)
Measure how much you want
Add acid
Once turned Green it becomes neutralised
Repeat experiment without adding indicated
Hydrochloric acid makes chloride (what’s the formulae)
Hydrochloric acid+Mg-> magneschlorids+Hydrogen
Sulphuric acid make sulphite. what’s the formula?
Sulphuric acid+ copper Oxide-> copper sulphate+water
