ACE inhibitors Flashcards
1
Q
Mechanism of ACE inhibitors
A
ACE inhibitors inhibit ACE this Ag 1 can’t be converted to Ag 2 .
Therefore , lack of Ag 2 causes
Vasodilation
Less ADH release
ZG cells don’t release Aldosterone
Less Aldosterone causes less Na+ and H2O reabsorption and so less aldosterone and less ADH causes reduced blood volume .
BP reduced
