What is ARC?

A

Attachment , Regulation, Competency = training used to re-teach abused kids how to function “normally” in society

WHat is the difference between number needed to treat and harm?

A

SSRI fully dosed = number needed to treat is 4, I need to give 4 diff kids with anxiety SSRI before I get 1 kid with effects from the medication. Number needed to harm = number of people I need to give this medication to before there is an adverse event.

What is the multiplier effect?

A

mental illness has a multiplier effect. (People with mental illness on top of physical illness will do much worse and you look at their mental illness to predict their outcome, not the physical illness.)

Highest utilizers of the medical system have very high ACE scores
