Q

What is the effect of acetylcholine in patients with endothelial dysfunction?

A

Significant vasoconstriction.

In normal endothelium, ACh is converted to NO and causes vasodilation. But in diseased arteries, the ACh effect on smooth muscle is more pronounced and causes constriction.
