Accommodative insufficiency occurs when the amplitude of accommodation (AA) is lower than expected for the patients age .

What are the main Symptoms of Accommodative Insufficiency?
A
- Blurred vision
- Diplopia
- Difficulty Reading (sometimes at the end of the day)
- Irritability
- Poor concentrations
- Headaches

What are the main Signs on Accommodative Insufficiency?
A
- Amplitude of Accommodation is less than expected for age
- Usually fail +/- 2.00D flipper test
- Positive Relative Accommodative under -1.50D
- MEM lag > +1.00 D
