Accleration Flashcards
1
Q
What is the equation we use to work out acceleration?
A
- Change in velocity divided by time taken for change
2
Q
Describe what happens if the resultant force is zero
A
- Movement of the object does not change
3
Q
If the object is stationary what will it be?
A
- It will remain stationary
4
Q
What happens with a moving object?
A
- It will remain at a constant velocity
5
Q
Now doing the opposite, what happens if the resultant force is NOT zero
A
- The object will acclerate in the direction of resultant force
6
Q
What is the equation we will use to work out force?
A
- Force (N) = Mass (KG) + Accleration
7
Q
What does the size of accleration depend on?
A
- Size of force so for same mass the bigger the force the bigger the accleration
- Mass of object so for same force, the more massive the object the smaller the accleration
