A
- a ramp should possess 12 in of horizontal run for each inch of vertical rise which is equivalent to an 8.3% grade
- should be a minimum of 36 in wide and should be equipped with handrails if the ramp has a rise of greater than 5 in or a horizontal run of greater than 72 in
- the ramp should have a level landing at the top and bottom
- if teh ramp changes direction, the landing area must be min of 5x5 feet (60 inx60in)
