Militia
a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency.
Ethnic
of or belonging to a population group or subgroup made up of people who share a common cultural background or descent.

Involving or limited to basic principles e.g a rudimentary medical facility

a significant stage or event in the development of something.

To move soldiers or weapons into a position where they are ready for military action

To be a perfect example of something e.g this building epitomises the spirit of the nineteenth century
Proportionally
in a way that increases or decreases in size, amount or degree according to changes in something else

likely to cause people to disagree e.g animal warfare did not become a contentious issue until the late 1970s.

attractive and exciting in a mysterious way e.g the alluring magic of Hong Kong
Complexities
the state of being formed of many parts; the state of being difficult to understand
Plethora
An amount that is greater than is needed or can be used e.g despite a plethora of changes, the new models are just 267 more than the cars they replace

Real, exactly what it appears to be
Alternative
A thing that you can choose to do or have out of two or more possibilities
Destruction
the act of destroying something; the process of being destroyed
Precision
the quality of being exact, accurate and careful
Reduced
to make something less or smaller in size, quantity, price, etc.
Panacea
something that will solve all the problems of a particular situation e.g debt reduction should not be seen as a panacea for the regions economic problems
Ethos
the moral ideas and attitudes that belong to a particular group, society or person
e.g western art reflected the ethos of its society as surely as soviet art

Not clear, dark or dirty

responsible for your decisions or actions and expected to explain them when you are asked

A belief or a set of beliefs held and taught by a Church, a political party, etc.
