Describe process of law making
what is a statue
an act of parliament- law that has gone through law making stages.
what is Binding precedent
a law that must be followed
judicial precedent is made by who?

what does the house of commons do?
debate and discuss laws to create a statute

what is the cabinet?
made of 20 senior members (minister) who are responsible for particular issues
what are the house of lords?
non-elected body formed with senior judges and bishops.
what does the monarch do?
signs off bills to become statutes after being approved by parliament.
what are the three chambers?
monarch, house of lords, house of commons.
what can influence parliamentary law making?
a tragic event, campaigns (Ann mings law), petitions
what is the green paper for?
blueprint of proposals to change the law, which asks people who will be effected’s views.
what is a white paper?
after the amendments are made after the green paper is taken back in a final proposal is made
