varies depending on the nature of the crime, high profile cases when caught get alot of media attention, in general it can go under the radar because they are very complex

Asil Nadir was jailed for 10 years. He stole £29 million from his polly peck business. he only had to pay £5m of this back or he could derve an extra 6 years in prison.
What is a moral crime
a crime which may be “victimless” but offend moral standards in society e.g. prostituiton
types of offenders for moral crime
victim and the offender can be one of the same e.g. prostituion people can be forced into this
how much public awareness is around moral crimes
often low as in certain situations like prostituiton
example of moral crime
Varsha, met a man in a hairdressers who took her to London, she never saw him again and was forced to become a prostitute. She now lives in the UK but has no money and lives in fear

crimes commited by government against citizens, usually involving human rights abuse e.g. war crimes

government officials

citizens from a different country e.g holocaust the germans were the victims
how high is the public awareness of state crimes
High due to the extremity and seriousness of the case

China have been forcing a lot of Uyghur and turkish muslims to abandon their religion. In Xinjiang alot of muslims have been arrested and are no longer allowed to practice islam
What is a technological crime
crimes commited using technology e.g. online fraud
