How are the police good at achieving social control?
- They are able to charge, caution and arrest suspects to individually and generally deter crime.
- They can stop, search, detect, arrest and interrogate suspects = social control.
How are the police bad at achieving social control?

- Highlights problems with falling response rates and slow response times with domestic abuse cases (2017)
