There is a substantial risk that if the child was born, it would suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped

To save the life of the pregnant women

What is the use of the copper coil as emergency contraception?
Releases copper to stop egg implanting and being fertilised
Must be inserted within 5 days of unprotected sex or up to 5 days after earliest time one could have ovulated
