What are abortion laws like in U.K?
- In England, Scotland and Wales abortion is legal and be carried out before 24 weeks. In certain conditions abortion can take place after 24 weeks
- Abortion is still illegal in Northern Ireland. Only legal if the mothers life is endangered or if the foetus has abnormalities. Abortion is only available until the 9th week of pregnancy
