V1 Cut

A
  • Rotate slightly slower than normal to 12-13 degrees

400 feet:
- Roll mode
- Declare emergency (advise hdg)
- Rudder trim (15 units)

Accel Ht:
- A/P on (when stable & in trim)
- V/S - 0 to 200 (weight dependent)
- Box 5
- Flaps 5 (when >= F15 spd & accel)

At Flaps 5 (man spd):
- FL CH
- Re-bug Box 5
- Verify Continuous Thrust

Prior to Level-Off:
- A/T Arm switch - OFF
- After T/O checklist
- Engine Failure checklist

Approaching Level-Off:
- Reduce rudder trim to 10 units
- 2-in, 2-out, B4, FRAG check (brief G/A, overweight landing QRH)
- Descent check, Approach check

Single Engine ILS

A
  • LOC/APPR, F5 & F5 man spd prior to LOC intx
  • Gear Down (@ GS alive)
  • Flaps 20
  • Box on Ref (+ any wind correction)
  • Rudder trim to 5 units
  • Landing checklist
  • Missed approach alt set (after G/S capture)

Go-Around (Single Engine)

A

Immediately:
- “Go around, Flaps 5”
- TOGA, full power, rudder same rate
- “Positive rate, gear up”

400 feet:
- Roll mode
- Advise Tower
- Rudder trim - 15 units

1000 feet (accel height, if no diversion required):
- Box 5
- After T/O checklist
- At ALT CAP, A/P on
- Rudder trim - 10 units

Windshear Considerations (Takeoff, Approach)

A
  • Confirmed WS: delay T/O or discontinue approach
  • WS conditions for T/O - more:
    • Thrust
    • Runway
    • Flaps
    • Time (e.g. delay)
  • WS conditions for approach/landing:
    • F25 or F30
    • Stabilized early
    • Gust additives if AT off
    • Runway to avoid
    • ADI indications
    • Below 1000’: 15 kt, 500 fpm, 5 degrees, 1 dot, unusual thrust lever

Windshear Escape Maneuver (PF)

A

Click-Push-Push-Click
- A/P off
- G/A switch
- MAX thrust
- A/T off

  • Simultaneously wings level & initial pitch to 15 degrees
  • SB retract
  • Follow FD guidance (if avail); smoothly continue to stick shaker if required

  • Stand up throttles
  • Pitch to 15 degrees (breathe!)
  • Normal T/O profile:
  • Roll mode >= 400’ AGL, VNAV >= 1000’ AGL, retract flaps, AP on, After T/O checklist
  • PM: PIREP

ILS PRM Breakout

A

(VHF2 to “monitor” frequency)
ATC “Traffic Alert” followed by instructions
- Keep AT engaged!
- AP off, start turn and gentle climb/descent
- FDs off (PF commands PM)
- Once approaching heading:
- FDs on
- HDG SEL
- V/S 1000
- AP back on
- Box 5
- Flaps 20
- Positive rate, gear up
- Flaps 5
- After T/O checklist
If TCAS RA, follow TCAS vertically and ATC hdg
