Papilledema
Optic disc lacks margins, swollen, and disc is not visible
Glacucomatous Disc
Depressed cup and the base of the cup is pale
Optic Atrophy
Physiologic cup is transparent and enlarged more than half of the disc diameter. Retinal vessels sink under the cup.
Superfical Retinal Hemorrhage
Small linear flame streaks across the fundus with white spots in the center of the streaks consisting of fibrin
Deep Retinal Hemorrhage
Small, red, round, slightly irregular spots in the fundus
Cotton wool spots
White/ gray ovoid lesions in the fundus with irregular soft margins
Hard Exudate
Creamy or yellowish bright lesions with well defined borders in the fundus. They cluster in circles, linear patterns or stars
Conjuctivitis
Diffuse dilation of the conjunctival vessels with redness starting from maximal peripherally. Discharge is watery, mucoid or mycropurelent. Cornea is clear
Subjunctival hemorrhage
Painless leakage of the blood vessels into the sclera of the eye. Sharp, debarked red area. Cornea is clear
Corneal injury or infection
Pain is superficial moderate to severe. Discharge is watery or purulent. Cornea has opacity
Acute Irisitis
Moderate aching, deep, photophobia; small irregular pupil, cornea clear or cloudy
Acute angle glaucoma
Severe aching, deep, photophobia. Pupil dilated and fixed. Cornea steamy or cloudy. Vision impaired
Blepharitis
Inflammation of the eyelid
Stye (Hordeolum)
Painful, red, tender nodule at the inner or outer margin of the eyelid
Chalazan
Painless, non-tender nodule. Acutely inflammed and is inside the eyelid
