ABMR Flashcards

Q
What is ABMR (as per Banff 2017)?
A
The Banff 2017 classification has moved away from using the term “acute” Ab MR, preferring instead to describe lesions as being “active”. To make this diagnosis, you must satisfy three conditions: (1) There must be evidence of acute tissue injury, (2) There must be evidence of Ab interaction with the vascular endothelium (C4d staining in the peritubular capillaries), and, (3) There must be serological evidence of circulating DSAs.
