Abdominal Wall Muscles Flashcards

1
Q

External abdominal oblique OINA

A

Origin is the external surface of the fifth to 12th ribs and inserts on the linea alba the pubic Crest the iliac crest and the pubic symphysis. Innervated by the inferior 5 thoracic nerves, the subcostal nerve and the iliohypogastric nerve. It flexes and rotates the trunk and laterally rotates the trunk and compresses the abdominal contents.
