Gallbladder (early referred + somatic pain from peritoneal irritation )

A

early referred pain - epigastric region

somatic pain:

  • right side of epigastrum
  • near the costal margin
  • right line semilunaris

Murphy’s sign - have patient inhale and press on skin above their gallbladder. They will stop inhaling if there is pain.

somatic pain - right edge of epigsatrium but can also extend to umbilical and hypogastric areas.
