Ectopic pregnancy, Miscarriage (with or without complications), Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (rare)
What are the congenital and traumatic causes of gynecological abdominal pain?
Congenital: Haematocolpos, Other outflow tract obstructions
Traumatic: Coital injuries, Iatrogenic (complications of surgical procedures), IUCD-related (dysmenorrhea or pain due to displacement)
What complications can arise from functional ovarian cysts?
Three main complications: Torsion, Hemorrhage, Rupture
What are the infective and endometriosis-related causes of gynecological pain?
Infective: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) - Can be acute or chronic, Can be primary or secondary
Endometriosis: Can cause dysmenorrhea, Can cause pelvic pain, Has a wide range of possible presentations
What are the neoplastic causes of gynecological abdominal pain?
Ovarian tumors causing pain through: Compression, Torsion, Rupture, Advanced malignancy
Fallopian tube cancer (very rare)
Fibroids of the uterus - usually asymptomatic unless complicated by: Torsion of pedunculated subserosal fibroid, Red degeneration during pregnancy, Prolapse of submucous fibroid, Compression effects, Obstruction of urethra with overflow incontinence, Malignant change

Porphyria, Diabetic ketoacidosis, Lower lobe pneumonia, Urinary Tract Infection, Pyelonephritis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome
