Q

Neg: sharecropping

A

Sharecroppers continued to earn low profits, and their ‘masters’ often exploited them. It did provide them a living, but hard labour for not much money. HVR the poor rural environment most AAs lived in was not good. In 1900 almost 90% of AAs lived in the South. Often excluded from workforce and unions.

Black ghettos began to develop. In South and North. While in North there was no legal segregation being enforced, there was definitely still discrimination. Poor areas, poor schools, poor healthcare.
