List the 8 steps for opening the door - emergency operation
- Leave jumpseat, stow, assess inside/outside conditions
- Ensure door is armed
- Hold fixed part of aircraft and move door handle fully in direction of arrow. White armed indicator light will illuminate if door is armed
- Let go of door, power assist should take over. Otherwise push door manually until locked against fuselage
- Hold fixed part of aircraft (if possible) and pull manual inflation handle found on door threshold. Bend knees, stay low.
- Assess slide inflation and condition
- Take protective position
- Initiate evacuation
How can cabin crew determine if a door is equipped with slides or slide rafts?
Through the llacards affixed to it
