TAKEOFF ALTERNATE
- When is it required: When the weather conditions are below the lowest published landing minima at the departure airport
- What aerodromes may be used: Main, Alternate, Adequate
- Weather Requirement: At least 500’ and 2km above the LANDING minima for the period 30 mim before to 30 min
- What are the time buffers called: Window of Suitability
- Weather Requirement ETOPS: ETOPS Alternate Aerodrome Planning Minima
- What is the distance limitations
Non ETOPS: 60 Minutes (427nm)
ETOPS: Route Distance Limitation except Japan and NZ - What is the lowest approach ILS minima available: CAT IIIA as CAT IIIB is not available OEI
