When is THR LK displayed?
Flashes amber to indicate Auto thrust indication due to system failure
When “SPEED” is shown how is speed controlled?
Thrust is varied to maintain speed
When is LVR ASYM displayed?
When one thrust lever is in CL or MCT/FLEX detent and the other is not
When is LVR MCT displayed?
To prompt the pilots to set the levers to MCT detent when at green dot when single engine
What does SRS command?
SRS commands pitch to maintain speeds
When ALT* is displayed what happens when the FCU alt is changed?
The FMAs change to speed and V/S
What happens when the FMA EXP CLB is displayed?
It commands pitch to maintain green dot, THR CLB is engaged and all alt and speed constraints are ignored
What happens when the FMA EXP DES is displayed?
It commands pitch to maintain 0.8Mach/340kts. THR idle is engaged and all alt and speed constraints are ignored
What happens when the ALT knob is pulled during a climb?
OP CLB appears commanding pitch to maintain speed, THR CLB engaged and alt constraints are ignored
During a climb the ALT knob is pushed what happens?
CLB mode engages as long as NAV is engaged. CLB THR is commanded and pitch is commanded to maintain speed. If nav is lost it reverts to OP CLB
During a descent the ALT knob is pushed what happens?
DES mode engages as long as NAV is engaged. Commands SPEED/MACH or THR IDLE. If nav is lost reverts to V/S
When does LAND appear?
At 400ft AGL when during an ILS approach. If it is not displayed by 350ft Rad Alt you cannot auto land
When does FLARE appear?
Displays at 40ft during a auto land ILS approach. If not displayed by 30ft a go around must be executed
When is RWY shown?
At the beginning of T/O roll up until 30ft AGL and it provides lateral guidance
What is RWY TRK?
Provides lateral guidance to maintain track at rotation or 30ft AGL
