A model which affects how a child learns and solves problems.
What is sensorimotor?
Stage 1, birth- 2 years old. Interact using eyes, ears, Hands and mouth
What is preoperational?
Stage 2, 2-7 years old, believed that children can’t yet understand numbers fully.
What is concrete operational?
Stage 3, 7-11 years, able to understand Simple logical principles
What is formal operational?
Stage 4, 11-18 years , able to reason through symbols
What are some negatives of the Piaget theory?
The theory was created using only a small group of children, therefore it can’t relate fully to all children

It’s believed that the ability to develop a sign or spoken language is genetically programmed into an individuals brain.
