When do you see blue shift?
A
When a galaxy is morning towards towards you. The absorption lines will move to the blue end of the spectrum because the wavelength appears shorter.

If a galaxy is moving towards you. The absorption lines will move towards the red end of the spectrum, because the wavelength appears to be stretched.
