Social Worker
Social workers provide help and support for people of all ages through difficult times in their lives.
Responsibilities:
-Assess the needs of groups of people
-To support identified needs
-Works with Families
-To provide support with social and emotional needs
-Protect vulnerable people
-Liaise with other agencies
Youth Worker
Youth workers support young people aged 11 to 25 to help them with their personal, social and educational development.
Responsibilities:
-Assess the needs of young people, and plan and deliver programmes related to areas such as health, fitness, smoking, drugs, gangs, violence, relationships and bullying.
-Regularly monitor and review the quality of the local youth work provision, report writing
-Run arts-based activities, community/environmental projects, residential activities, outdoor education and sporting activities.
-Befriend and support young people in different settings, including outreach work
-Mentor, coach and support individuals and encourage greater social inclusion
Support Worker
A support worker is someone who looks after the well-being of people in their daily lives.
Responsiblities:
-Following policies and procedures (1) to meet legislative requirements (1)
-Personal care (1) to maintain dignity (1)
-Supporting routine (1) to meet needs/reduce anxiety (1)
-Accurate/up-to-date record keeping (1) to ensure staff are aware of issues (1)
-Act of safeguarding to protect from harm
