What is Growth
Growth is the measurable quantity, for example height or weight
What is development
Complex changes in skills, abilities and capabilities.
What is a gross motor skill?
It is a large muscle movement for example walking or running.
What is a fine motor skill?
It is a smaller muscle movement for example picking up a spoon.
What can babies do at 3 months that is control by the gross motor skill?
They can lift up their head and have control over their head.
What gross and fine motor skill can children develop?
They can start riding a bike, running and skips.
They can start turning pages and write names.
What is a primary sexual characteristic?
It is present at birth but develop during puberty.
What is a secondary sexual characteristic?
It develops during puberty.
What is perimenopause?
It is ovaries stopping eggs being realise every months (stopping of periods). Their oestrogen levels decreases.
The affects of perimenopause?
Hot flushes, mood swings, night sweats, vaginal dryness and lord of libido.
Affects of menopause?
Reduction in sexual interest, hot flushes, night sweats or stopping of periods
Effects of ageing?
Change in body shape, grey hair, skin loses elasticity, loos of muscle and loss of stamina.
