• Constructive waves bring sediment on the beach. This is due to the low energy wave.
• Destructive waves remove sedimnet from beaches and coastlines. They have a powerful backwash, high frequency and greater wave height.

Using Figure 6 and your own knowledge, assess the relative importance of factors leading to the development of this landform. (6 marks)

• There is already sediment, provided by boulder clay of the Holderness coastline. Longshore drift and changing direction of coastline push sediment into the Humber estuary.
