Toxic - antineuralgic, anodyne, sedative.

Tx: neuralgia, ovarian cyst pain, fever, chills.

CI pregnancy, high doses.

AE: N/V, headache, miosis, hypotension, chest pain, collapse, v fib, slows respiration.

A

Uterine tonic, spasmolytic, nervine.

Tx: dysmenorrhea, F infertility, menopause sx, PMS, OA, RA, threatened miscarriage.

Topical tx bruises, internal tx varicose veins, hemorrhoids, chronic prostatitis.

Tx: lower UTI (alkaline urine)

CI: pregnancy, use >10 days, use w Vit C and cranberry (too acidic).

AE: hydroquinone toxicity = tinnitus, N/V, convulsions, collapse, death)

Tx: bruise, myalgia, strain, sprain.

AE: (internal use or broken skin): gastroenteritis, nervous disturbance, tachy/brady, dyspnea, muscle weakness, collapse, death.
