Q
The declination of the Liberal Party:
A
There were many different reasons for the declination of the Liberal party.
- The conservative party had won the most seats in the 1918 and 1922 elections.
- David Lloyd George had a very well known and well respected reputation, this was until the knighthood scandal in 1922. This caused a dramatic decrease in his popularity as a leader which ultimately worked in synchronicity to his coalition government and therefore acting as another catalyst for the declination of the Liberal party.
