Call Light Panel: Hi Chime
-Hi chimes always come singly. (Unless mixed with Lo’s.)
Single Hi Chime means: A Guest Needs Help…
Blue: Guest is seated in cabin
Yellow: Guest is in lavatory
(only mid-cabin panel gets both AFT and FWD indicators)
Call Light Panel: Lo Alarms
-Lo alarms always come in 3’s. (Unless mixed with Hi’s.)
Three Lo Alarms means: Lavatory Smoke Detector…
Orange Steady: Detector Fault
Orange Flashing: Detector Activation
Call Light Panel: Green
-Green illuminations are always steady.
Green Light means: Normal Communication to Cabin…
No Chime:
PA system or Automated announcement in use
1 Hi-Lo Chime:
Routine Flight Deck to Cabin Call
Call Light Panel: Red
-Red illuminations (on the CLP) are always flashing
Red Light means: Emergency Communication to Cabin…
3 Hi-Lo Chimes:
Emergency Flight Deck to Cabin Call
Call Light Panel: No Illumination
-If no illumination, then no passenger is involved.
No Light means: Private Communication Between FA’s
This will have 1 Hi-Lo Chime:
FA Station to FA Station Call
To Request Access to the Flight Deck:
Accessing the Flight Deck:
The FA inputs the (secret) numeric code, followed by “0”.
An aural alert sounds in the flight deck.
If the flight deck crew accepts the request,
or if the request goes unanswered,
the flight deck door automatically unlocks for 5 seconds.
If the flight deck crew denies the request,
the flight deck door locks down for 30 minutes.
Access Panel Status on keypad: Amber
Amber:
Access has been requested
Access Panel Status on keypad: Green
Green:
Access is granted.
The flight deck door is unlocked for 5 seconds.
Access Panel Status on keypad: Steady Red
Steady Red:
Access has been denied.
The flight deck door remains locked for 30 minutes.
Access Panel Status on keypad: Flashing Red
Flashing Red:
Invalid keypad entry.
