Igneous rocks
Igneous rocks are rocks that form from the cooling of lava or magma as it is thrown through the air from a volcanic eruption
Extrusive rocks
Extrusive rocks: igneous rocks that form when lava cools above the Earths surface.
Pumice
Pumice: a Rock that forms from quick cooling lave to. It is very light and is able to float on water because all their air holes that used full of gases.
Scoria
A dark rock from glassy lave that cools quickly
Abrasive
A material that scratches other very easily.
Basalt
A igneous rock that forms from the cooling of hot lava. It sometimes has holes once contained volcanic gases.
Obsidian
A black, glassy rock, that breaks into pieces with smooth shell- like surfaces.
