What is the Diagnosis?
Unilateral otalgia, severe in some cases. Pyrexia, hearing loss, inflamed bulging tympanic membrane.
Rarely accompanied by neurological symptoms.

Proptosis, reduced visual acuity, red colour desaturation, chemosis and impaired eye movements and pupillary reflexes

Sore throat for 3-10 days, swallowing difficulty, hot potato voice. May not be able to examine oropharynx due to trismus but if you do will see deviated uvula and unilateral exudate.
