9.0 Cisco Data Center and Compute Management Platforms ana APIs Flashcards
Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
a software-defined networking (SDN) solution designed for data centers. Cisco ACI allows network infrastructure to be defined based upon network policies
Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
the single point of policy and management of a Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
Management Information Model (MIM)
contains all of the managed objects in the system and their properties.
Management information tree (MIT)
manages and maintains the whole hierarchical tree of objects on the switch, with each object representing the configuration, operational status, accompanying statistics and associated faults for a switch function.
Managed object (MO)
an abstract representation of a physical or logical entity that contain a set of configurations and properties
Distinguished name (DN)
uniquely identifies the object globally.
virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) instance
an IP-based computer network technology that enables the simultaneous co-existence of multiple virtual routers as instances
Endpoint group (EPG)
a configuration object that specifies a group of backend endpoints or services.
Unified Computing System (UCS)
a converged data center architecture that integrates computing, networking and storage resources to increase efficiency and enable centralized management.
