A cycle by which materials necessary for organisms are circulated between organisms and through the environment. (e.g. water, carbon, nitrogen)

The state of environmental conditions.
Enviornmental Quality
The evaporation of water from the leaves of plants.
Transpiration
The conversion of nitrogen gas into ammonia by bacteria living in the soil.
Nitrogen Fixation
Any relationship in which two species live together.
Symbiosis
A symbiotic relationship in which both species benefit.
Mutualism
A symbiotic relationship in which one organism lives on or inside another organism and causes it no harm.
