A

The reason for adjusting bearing scales is so that the C2 sight reads the same grid bearing along which the barrel points.

22
Q

A

The aim of adjustment is to obtain accurate charge, bearing and elevation to the target with the minimum expenditure of time and ammunition so effective fire can be brought to bear on that target.

25
Fire power characteristics (HALFABECA)
High rate of fire Accuracy Long time of flight Flexibility Ability to fire on obscure targets Beating zone Effects of damp Consistency Ammunition
26
Deployment characteristics (Her majesty's government values women)
High trajectory Mobility Ground Vulnerability Weight of stores
27
Rules of observation (RSM wants men)
Remember time of flight. Smoke where observation of HEA is difficult. Measure corrections onto line with binos or hand angles; don't guess. Watch for fall of shot with naked eye then use binos/laser. MKA formula.
28
Reasons for adjustment (HAM with cheese)
Human error Altitude Meteor Wind Charge temperature
29
Methods of adjustment (BCD)
