- final sanction, ending membership causing you to be unable to practise professionally
Are there any other ethical practices that we might have to follow?
Universities and organisations have internal ethics committees which mostly stick to BPS code, but might also have their own requirements and these may not adhere to all of BPS requirements
What is an REC?
research ethics committee
What does an REC do?
It is a multidisciplinary independent body who is responsible for reviewing research proposals involving human participants, ensuring dignity, rights and welfare are protected.
How might REC approval effect research?
Need to factor in REC approval when designing research as this process can take time.
