Service Data Unit (SDU) - According to OSI, a service data unit is a unit of data that has been passed down from an OSI layer or sublayer to a lower layer. This unit of data has not yet been encapsulated into a protocol data unit (PDU)

MAC Service Data Unit (MSDU) is the data accepted by MAC layer to be transmitted to the MAC layer of another station on the network.

PLCP protocol data unit is that which the PMD (Physical Medium Dependent) receives from the PLCP. The PPDU is that which is transmitted on the RF medium.
