Main idea questions
You will have to identify the main idea of the passage. Determine the primary purpose behind the passage that is given.
Tone of the author
You will have to identify the author’s attitude toward the subject.
Fact questions
These questions ask you to spot information that is specifically included as a fact or truth.
Implied questions
Specifically ask you to identify an idea that which is suggested or implied, either directly or indirectly.
Structural questions
Identify what technique or writing style did the author use to present facts.
Extrapolation questions
In these questions you must extrapolate or draw an inference from the passage, and then match it with the situations given in the answer choices.
Negative questions
These questions ask you which of the given answer choices are NOT true according to the author or the passage, or the answer choices the author would not agree with.
Contextual/definition of a term question
These are the questions that ask you to figure out the meaning of an unfamiliar word in the passage.
