What do EPFS affect?
Hair, skin, muscles and channels
Symptoms of wind-cold?
Severe chills, mild fever, no sweating, absence of thirst
Tongue: thin, white, moist
Pulse: Floating, tight
Excess: Absence of sweating, severe body aches, pulse: Tight
Deficiency: Mild body aches, slow pulse
Wind heat symptoms?
Mild chills, severe fever, no sweating or sweating, thirst
Tongue: Thin and yellow coating
Pulse: floating and rapid
Excess: Abcense of sweating, sever body aches, pulse tight
Deficiency: Sweating, mild body aches, pulse slow
What does full/excess epf pattern mean?
That Wei Qi is still strong and fighting the pathogen
What does empty/deficient mean?
Wei Qi is weak
Fixed pain, often only one joint is affected , relieved by the application of heat
cold bi syndrom
Severe pain, joints are hot and swollen
heat bi syndrome
Swelling and heaviness of the joints
Damp bi syndrome
Pain moves from joint to joint

Symptoms of an excess pattern
vigor, agitation, loud voice, coarse breathing, distension and fullness in the chest and abdomen, pain made worse by pressure, constipation, tenesmus, dysuria
Symptoms of a deficient pattern
Weak, listlessness, lassitude, weak breathing, dislike of speaking, pale, palpitations, shortness of breath, insomnia, poor memory, spontaneous and night sweating, nocturnal emissions, nocturnal enuresis, pain alleviated by pressure, pale tongue with little or no coating, pulse of deficient type
Shortness of breath (dyspnea), rapid breathing, sticky sweat, hot skin, thirst, dislikes heat, desire cold drinks, flushes face, irritable, warm hands, tongue: red with a dry coat, pulse: deficient and rapid
Yin collapse
Feeble breathing, coold skin, cold limbs, profuse cold sweat, dislikes cold, desire hot drinks, listless, tongue pal with moist coating, pulse thready deficient, and fading (end stage pulse)
Yang collapse
Half interior and half exterior syndrome
Shao yang, Wei Qi is not strong enough, alternating chills and fever, fullness in chest and hypochondrium, vomiting, anorexia, Bitter taste in mouth, blurred vision, pulse: wiry
