What host level metrics are available?
A
CPU, network, disk IOPS and status checks
Custom metrics can be configured i.e. RAM usage and disk space

How often are CloudWatch Metrics reported?
A
They are every 5 minutes by default but can be optionally set to 1 minutely

A
Records the state of the AWS environment and notifies of any changes
