Codependency dg criteria

A
  1. sacrifice of self-esteem in order to be able to control both self and others, even when facing serious consequences

3 or more:
- disregarding own needs
- denial
- depression
- anxiety (separation anxiety)
- hypervigilance
- compulsions
- substance abuse
- stress-related medical illness
- has remained in a primary relationship with an active substance abuser for at least 2 years without seeking outside help
