Describe astigmatism to a patient so they can understand

A

The cornea is the clear outer coating of your eye. With astigmatism, the cornea is uneven, which changes how light enters the eye and may make things look funny. D’s may look like B’s like a funhouse mirror. But glasses will fix that problem in no time

Common vision condition that causes blur. Occurs when cornea is irregularly shaped (or curvature of lens inside eye). Prevents light from focusing properly on retina.
