When do we need to accomplish the Aborted Engine Start checklist QRH?
A
For one or more of the following:
- O: Oil Pressure rise does not occur
- F: FF is abnormally high or fluctuating
- E: EGT does not increase by 20 secs after FUEL CONTROL switch is moved to RUN
- N: N1 fails to increase after EGT rise
- E: EGT quickly nears or exceeds the start limit
- O: Oil pressure indication is not normal by the time the engine is stabilized at idle

What is the minimum N2 required prior to moving the FUEL CONTROL switch to RUN?
A
757: 18% N2
767: 15% N2

What constitutes “stabilized idle” for engine start?
A
- Red maximum start EGT limit line disappears
- Starting EGT peaks
- N2 RPM 60% or greater (enables full EEC authority)

How long should engines be operated prior to takeoff?
A
5 minutes, however do not delay takeoff after a 3 minute warm up period
