What happens when someone sees a ruler fall in front of her/him?

Answer 1

Upon seeing the ruler being to fall, a nerve impulse travels from the eyes to the brain. The brain then sends nerve impulses to motor neurons of the fingers to catch the ruler. The time taken between seeing the falling object through the eyes and catching this object with the fingers is the reaction time. .
